ROLL*A*ROYAL

One or more players, ages 8 and up. Playing time is approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Game consists of 13,16mm, suited dice, and 1 Risk die.

The object of the game is to make legitimate poker hands by connecting as many of the 13 dice as possible with Jacks or better to open. Hands connect with at least 1 die common die. Each common die can only be used 2 times. There can be more than 1 common die in each hand.

Game can be played either by a pre-determined number of turns per player, (ex: 10 turns) or score (ex: 10,000). Highest score wins.

Each player rolls the risk die. Highest number goes first. Play continues to the left.

The first player rolls all 13 dice. If the player does not have Jacks or better, the dice are passed to the next player. If the player has Jacks or better, remove the blank dice and roll only the blank dice up to 2 more times for a total of 3 rolls per turn. The player makes as many legitimate poker hands as possible by connecting the dice horizontally and vertically. Straights and flushes do not have to be in numerical order in play. If a pair or three of a kind cannot be connected it cannot be used. If all 13 dice can be connected the player receives a 500 point bonus.

The Risk Roll

The risk die is numbered with a multiple of 1,2,3,4 and 2 blank sides is a multiple of 0. After the player has connected as many hands as possible with the 13 dice and added up the score, the player has the option to use the risk roll. Score is multiplied by the number on the die. If it is a blank, the player loses their points for that turn and marks a zero on the score sheet.
